AltaVista
Web site that allows you to type in a web address and search the internet to see who is linked to that site. This allows users to find out what type of people are using the site and are associated with it.

Wayback Machine
This web site allows users to enter a domain name and search the history of that site. Users can see how a site has changed over time, and how long a site has been around. The only down side is that newer web sites will not be available as there is a delay before the information is available.

EasyWhois
This web site allows you to type in a domain name and search for the publisher of the site. Very powerful when combined with google to find out about organizations or groups who create websites. Also provides ways to contact website administrators.
